2009 | 6 Episodes
Miranda finds it impossible to stand up to her eccentric mother Penny who makes embarrassing and desperate attempts to marry her off. Her rivalry with boarding school chum and PR Sloane Tilly gets her in to all sorts of trouble as she can’t help but lie to impress her; and worst of all her hapless pursuits of long-term crush Gary means she always ends up flat on her face-- literally in most cases. All her old friend Stevie does is stand back, laugh and unhelpfully point out where she is going wrong.

2010 | 6 Episodes
Following the conclusion of the first series, the BBC commissioned a second series for BBC Two in 2010. Of this, Hart said "I am not only relieved but totally overwhelmed by the response and thrilled that people have enjoyed the series. I am very grateful for all the support and to the BBC for giving me the chance to do another series next year." Filming started during the first weeks of summer, and the new series began broadcast in November 2010. The second series comprises six episodes and saw the return of Miranda's mother and friends, Stevie, Gary and Tilly

Miranda and Gary have agreed to be ‘just good friends’ and so the third series finds Miranda desperate for another man to keep her mother off her case. Making a success of the shop wouldn’t go astray either…
