He was born in Dersim(Tunceli). He completed his MA in Marmara University, Department of Radio-TV-Cinema with his thesis entitled “Cinema of Turkey during Nineties.” Between 1997-2009, he has worked in Mesopotamia Cinema Collective and published articles in several newspapers and journals.
