Trence Wilson Gillem (he/him) is a New York City based filmmaker and actor, originally from San Diego. He received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University in Performing & Media Arts, where he honed his craft in filmmaking and diversified his skills behind and in front of the camera. In 2022, he served as Chairman of the 9th Annual Centrally Isolated Film Festival. That same year, he starred in The Study Group, which won best short film at the 2022 Berlin Indie Film Festival. Trence has since worked on numerous student films as a sound designer, gaffer, director of photography, assistant director, and producer. He is currently training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, finishing Spring 2025. Trence was a California state champion wrestler and competed Division I at Cornell. He says that his experience as a wrestler has taught him valuable lessons in perseverance, hard work, and leadership. Trence is grateful for his family, friends, coaches, and teachers who have supported him and encouraged him to pursue his wildest dreams.
