Sol Ye is an independent producer dedicated to bring the most original, boundary-pushing Asian stories to the global audience. Her most recent documentary feature THE LAST YEAR OF DARKNESS, which explores underground partying and alternative youth in China, has won the Special Mention at the 20th CPH:DOX. It was also selected by IDFA and will be streaming exclusively on MUBI in 2024. Sol’s past works have won awards at Cannes Critics' Week (SHE RUNS) and BFI London Film Festival (I HAVE NO LEGS, AND I MUST RUN).
