Saiyed Farooq Jamal completed his graduation in Literature from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. Sisak also won four awards in Best Direction (Gold), Best Actor (Silver), Best Actress (Silver) and Best Cinematography (Silver) categories at the India Film House Short Film Awards, 2022 in Bengaluru. Besides being a passionate filmmaker, he is also a writer of numerous short stories. He has also authored two books - Hijr: Separated By Fate (2016), a fiction novel and a Hindi poetry collection titled Ret Si Tum (2020). He is also a bookworm and a cinema and theatre enthusiast.
