Penny Bouska is a director and assistant professor at the Department of Film, School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her field of expertise is film directing, while her research field extends to the interdisciplinary study of psychoanalytic theory and film. She has a PhD in film entitled The Unfamiliar – A Psychoanalytic Study in Film (2016) and is supervised by Antoinette Angelidis. She has a postgraduate degree from the Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3, in France and is the first graduate of the Department of Film, Thessaloniki. She has participated in various festivals with some distinctions.
