Morgan Lawrence is a New Zealand filmmaker whose journey into filmmaking began through her love of public speaking. After achieving 3rd Place at the NZ Lion’s Club Oratory & Impromptu National Speech Competition and 1st Place at the NZ O’Shea Speech Competition, Morgan discovered that speeches and films share the same heart — storytelling and emotion, both with the power to make people feel and understand something deeply. While she specialises in Producing, Morgan feels most connected to Directing and Production Design, where she can bring unique stories to life. Her creative focus lies in telling stories that everyone can connect to, but haven’t heard before — often exploring themes of mental health, passion, courage, and change. Morgan sees every project as a reflection of herself and what she values, using film as a way to express honesty and empathy through visual storytelling.
