She was once the stepmother to the Malaysian actress Rahmah Abdul Rahmat She died on 9 June 2013 at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre due to colon cancer at the age of 74.Her body was laid to rest in Islamic Cemetery AU4, Lembah Keramat, Ulu Kelang,Selangor.
