His second feature film, Song of Light, was selected for the 2017 Tokyo International Film Festival and the 2018 Jeonju International Film Festival and will be released theatrically in 2019. The film received high praise in major newspapers and the film magazine Kinema Junpo, and word of mouth spread, leading to a nationwide theatrical release.
