Ku Ming-Shen, an active choreographer and dancer, has been based in Taiwan since 1987. Her work reflects a blend of Western and Eastern dance styles influenced by her diverse background. In 1991, Ku became deeply involved in Contact Improvisation, introducing it to Taiwan. She founded "Ku & Dancers" in 1993 to showcase new works and promote improvisation, with performances in New York, Australia, Paris, London, China, Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
