He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1972. He graduated from the Uruguayan Film School in 1999 and founded tarkiofilm in 2008. Among his films are the documentary Standing at the foot of the white tree (2007), which won the award for best Uruguayan documentary at ATLANTIDOC 2007.
