His passion for filmmaking grew more when he took film classes at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. During this time, Jalen started his freelance videography and photography business, Draco Mays Productions, to further fuel his creativity. Now enrolled at Governors State University, Jalen's dreams of being a filmmaker are becoming more of a reality. Since 2022, Jalen has been a part of the Chicago Southland International Film Festival showcasing his short films every year. Jalen "Draco" Mays will continue to pursue his goal of being a film director one project at a time.
