Jaclyn Joshua Thanaraj Victor, popularly known as Jaclyn Victor, is a Malaysian singer and actress who won the inaugural Malaysian Idol and Ikon Malaysia. As the winner of Malaysian Idol, she won a recording contract with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. She is under the management of The 8 Unit. She represented Malaysia in the first Asian Idol and Ikon Asean. She has been dubbed "Asia's Divette" for her vocal prowess. Her debut album "Gemilang" under the label Sony BMG won the "Best Pop Album" & "Album of the Year" awards in Anugerah Industri Muzik 2005, while her titular single won the Anugerah Juara Lagu in 2005. In 2012, Jaclyn Victor signed a recording deal with KRU Music and recorded a Malay language album entitled "Ikut Rentakku". After winning a number of awards, she signed a new agreement with KRU Music and released an English language EP entitled "Unleashed" in 2014. At the 2017 Anugerah Juara Lagu, Jaclyn performed as an 'opening act'. She performed at the SEA Games 2017. As of 2017, Jaclyn has won total of 9 Anugerah Industry Muzik awards (Malaysia's equivalent of the Grammy awards) in her career.
