Ian Velasco (born May 30, 2006) is a Filipino student and self-established director and filmmaker. His passion for telling stories through moving pictures began in 2022, when he transferred to his beloved college-preparatory high school, Regional Science High School III. Velasco won his first achievement as a director and filmmaker with his book adaptation trailer, ‘One Day In December’ (2022), during the school's film trailer competition. The following year, in 2023, he produced a Milo commercial as his second project. In 2024, Velasco introduced ‘Maria’ to the public as his film debut. He played a significant role in directing, capturing, and producing the film. Not only did he edit the short film, but he also conceptualized and created its poster.
