In 2009, he was offered a permanent position at Marvel Studios as their Lead Storyboard Artist and Animatics Supervisor, where he played a key creative role in their unprecedented run of mega hits: Thor, Captain America, Avengers, Iron Man 3 Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Loki, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the upcoming Thunderbolts. In 2015, D'Alessandro was hired to direct TAU, a Netflix original sci-fi thriller produced by David S. Goyer and staring Gary Oldman, Maika Monroe, and Ed Skrein. It was released in June of 2018, where it became the #1 movie on the platform worldwide.
