Fatma Zohra Zamoum is a writer, director and producer. She taught Art History and Cinema in Universities (2004-2010) After attending the Fine Art School in Algiers (1985-1988), she went to Paris where she gratuated in Art History and Cinematography and Audiovisual studies at the Sorbonne in 1995. Z'har (2009) is Zamoum's first feature film, decipting scenes from the violence Algiers experienced in the 1990s. In 2005, she directed a short film La Pelote de Laine and has also authored several books including Comment j'ai fumé tous mes livres (2006). In 2009, she directed a documentary as a tribute to Sembene Ousmane, named Le Docker Noir, Sembene Ousmane. In 2011, she directed and produced a second feature film Kedach Ethabni (How Big Is Your Love) which tells the story of how Adel copes with a period spent with his grandmother after his parents break up. In 2014, she directed a historical docu drama for algerian Tv. Since then she is developing new projects.
