The strict teacher Kyoko Yakumo tells them, "This year's new students won't be easy to deal with." Five students among the first years stand out as soon as school begins: Ruri Shimotsuki and Oto Namioka from the Stage Department Performance Major, and Nanaha Akemitsu, Kei Shidara, and Nagomi Koromoya from the General Studies Department.
