This modern variation on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Girl with the Matchsticks" begins Christmas in a home for the disabled. The four wheelchair users Aga, Ringo, the White Giant and Spasski are fed up with the same old boredom and decide to celebrate their own "party".
